The Session

Note: The committees of the Session changed in the fall of 2011, and the number of members of the Session is now 16.

The heart of the Presbyterian System is government by elders. These members of the Session are responsible for guiding the total life of the church in obedience to Christ, who is the head. Committees of the Session include:

• Worship (Music Ministry, Sanctuary Service, Flower Guild, Bereavement Service)
• Christian Education (Children's, Youth and Adult Ministries, Preschool Board, Media Center)
• Evangelism
• Finance
• Stewardship (Personal Commitment; Time and Talents)
• Auxiliary Committees of the Session (Endowment, Memorial, Personnel)

The Board of Deacons

Note: The committees of the Diaconate changed in the fall of 2011, and the number of members of the Board of Deacons is now 20.

Members of the Session and Diaconate are assigned committees so there is officer representation on each group. Church members at large, however, make up the majority of our committees. If you are interested in serving on a particular committee, please contact the Pastor, or the chair of that committee, which you can find out by contacting the Office Manager
