Sunday Morning Worship

Preschool C.H.A.T. Reminder!

The Church Hour Activity Time (C.H.A.T.) is for preschoolers only!  If your child is age 2½ -5 years old, your child is welcome to join the group in room 120 during 11:00 a.m. worship. If your child is in first grade or higher, we encourage him/her to stay in the sanctuary and join in the worship service! Clipboards are available with activities that directly relate to the scripture readings and sermon for the day. Please help us by making sure your elementary-aged children remain in the sanctuary instead of following the preschoolers out at the end of Children's Timev!

Join Hermie for Sunday School!

Hey Kids!! I’m Hermie the common caterpillar and I would love for you to join me for Sunday School. We will be finding out Mary Magdalene ’s story and how she may have felt on the day she went and found the tomb of Jesus empty.

Come and discover how great things happen when the people of God work together and pray together. We will watch “The Lord’s Prayer” on DVD, make prayer boxes, create an angelic snack, and work together on a prayertree mural.

Come to the Gathering Station upstairs in room 201 at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday and we will learn about the love God has for us together!

The Way of the Child is a brand new program for children in grades 1-5. The program focuses on the spiritual formation of children and leads children in learning and experiencing spiritual practices. These practices will help children develop a depeer awareness of God's presence in their lives. Way of the Child is not intended to be a substitute for Sunday School and the improtant informational development Sunday School provides. Instead, Way of the Child is intended to help children put information into practice at a deeply spiritual level and to help form a personal relationahips with God.

Way of the Child takes seriously and joyfully chidren's capacities, deep needs and spiriits. The is program encourages children to respond to God in awe and helps children embrace all of life, responding to God's call. The group will  mieet on Sunday evenings in conjunctions thw Youth Felloship, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. beginnning in Octiber 1 and continuing through May.

Cradle Roll: Celebrating new births and baptisms!

The Christian Education Committee and the Children’s Ministry Council are pleased to announce that parents of newborns will receive a “Baby’s First Year” calendar upon the birth of a baby. This calendar helps parents mark special milestone events in the baby’s first year and also celebrates the newborn’s life with scripture and poetry. In order to deliver these in a timely manner, it is important that the church be notified as soon as a newborn arrives into the church family!

We will be joining in the celebration of baptism by presenting parents of babies being baptized into the church with a copy of “Baby’s First Bible”. This is a “board book” with sturdy pages and a handle so that little ones can carry their Bible stories around safely!

Children's Clipboard News!

All children are encouraged to pick up a clipboard from the narthex as they enter the sanctuary for worship services.  The clipboards have a specially created worship bulletin for children with activities that compliment the Sunday services.  Also, attached to the clipboards is a set of cards!  These cards have pictures of items seen in the sanctuary and have information for the children about these items.  Please help your child find the items on the cards as they look around the sanctuary
